Walk and Talk Therapy

with Pujita Latchman, LMFT

Reconnect with yourself in the healing presence of nature

In our fast-paced, screen-filled world, healing doesn’t have to happen in a small office or behind a computer screen. Walk and Talk Therapy offers a refreshing alternative—combining the benefits of traditional psychotherapy with the grounding, restorative energy of the outdoors.

I invite you to join me on a gentle East Bay trailhead for a unique therapeutic experience that blends eco-therapy, somatic mindfulness, EMDR resourcing, Brainspotting, polyvagal techniques, and mindful ritual. Together, we’ll use movement, fresh air, and nature immersion to support nervous system regulation, emotional release, and deeper connection to your own inner wisdom.

Why “Walk and Talk” Therapy Works

Nature has a profound ability to calm the mind and restore balance. When we pair the attuned presence of trauma-informed therapy with the open, expansive space of the outdoors, we create a powerful container for transformation.

Benefits of Walk and Talk Therapy:

  • Gently shifts your nervous system toward regulation and safety

  • Reduces feelings of anxiety, depression, and emotional stagnation

  • Promotes creativity, problem-solving, and new perspectives

  • Allows for deeper embodiment and emotional release through movement

  • Creates a natural rhythm for processing and integrating challenging emotions

What to Expect in a Session

We’ll meet at a scenic, accessible East Bay trail—a space chosen for its beauty, privacy, and gentle terrain.
During our walk:

  • We’ll set an intention or focus for our time together

  • I’ll guide you through somatic mindfulness practices to help you feel present and grounded

  • We may incorporate EMDR resourcing or Brainspotting to gently access and process deeper emotional material

  • You’ll learn polyvagal-informed techniques to regulate and soothe your nervous system

  • When appropriate, we may integrate rituals or symbolic practices to honor your healing process

This is therapy in motion—anchored in nature, open to your pace, and deeply attuned to your body and mind.

Walk and Talk Therapy can be especially supportive if you:

  • Want to incorporate nature into your healing process

  • Experience anxiety, depression, or nervous system dysregulation

  • Are navigating a life transition or seeking clarity on big decisions
