Welcome to Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy at Integral Insights

I’m Pujita Latchman, LMFT, founder of Integral Insights Counseling & Coaching in Berkeley, California.
I’m honored to offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in partnership with Journey Clinical, combining evidence-based medicine with trauma-informed, somatic, and mindfulness-based psychotherapy.

KAP helps clients access deeper emotional healing, nervous-system regulation, and self-compassion through an integrative process that blends modern neuroscience with depth-oriented therapy.

What Is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic approach in which low-dose ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to support breakthroughs, emotional release, and long-lasting transformation.

Through guided preparation, dosing, and integration, clients often experience:

  • Greater access to insight and meaning

  • Reduced symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma

  • Increased neuroplasticity and resilience

  • A renewed sense of connection and peace

In this collaborative model, I facilitate the psychotherapy and integration process, while Journey Clinical’s medical team manages all medical and prescribing aspects, ensuring a safe and personalized treatment plan.

Why Clients Choose KAP

Many clients turn to KAP when traditional talk therapy has plateaued. The expanded-state experience allows you to access inner wisdom and release long-held emotional patterns in a safe, contained environment.

My approach draws on EMDR, Brainspotting, Hakomi Somatic Mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Expressive Arts therapy, creating a truly integrative experience for body, mind, and spirit.

KAP can be particularly supportive for those seeking:

  • Relief from depression, anxiety, or PTSD

  • Healing from developmental or relational trauma

  • Support in psychedelic integration and meaning-making

  • A bridge between psychological work and spiritual growth

What Is Ketamine?

Ketamine is a safe, legal, and effective medicine that’s been used in medical and mental-health settings for over 50 years.
It works by increasing neuroplasticity—helping your brain form new, healthier pathways for mood, stress regulation, and self-connection.

Benefits often include:

  • Rapid improvements in mood within hours

  • Lasting changes that support ongoing growth

  • Enhanced capacity for presence and insight

In collaboration with Journey Clinical, I use sublingual ketamine lozenges (dissolved under the tongue), which offer a gentle and well-tolerated route for therapeutic work.

What to Expect in a KAP Session

A typical KAP journey lasts 1–2 hours and takes place in person at my Berkeley office or virtually (for eligible clients).

  • You’ll recline comfortably, often with an eye mask and calming music.

  • The medicine induces a relaxed, dreamlike, or expansive state.

  • I remain present throughout to hold space, support safety, and guide integration.

After the medicine’s effects subside (approximately 45–60 minutes), we’ll spend time processing insights and somatic experiences. Many clients describe a profound sense of calm, compassion, and clarity that carries forward into daily life.

3. KAP Dosing Session
You self-administer your ketamine lozenge (either in-office or remotely) while I guide and support you throughout the process.

4. Integration Sessions
Afterward, we explore memories, emotions, and insights through somatic, mindfulness, and parts-work techniques to deepen integration.

5. Follow-Up Care
Journey Clinical provides ongoing medical follow-ups, medication management, and outcome tracking to ensure your continued progress.
