Depth-Oriented Trauma Therapy & Coaching in Berkeley, CA

Hi, I’m Pujita—I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for therapy is not easy, and it tells me you’re ready for something more: a way of living that feels freer, lighter, and truer to who you are.

If you’ve tried pushing through, reading all the books, or even doing talk therapy, but still feel stuck in anxiety, burnout, or old patterns—you’re not alone. What you’re experiencing isn’t a personal failing. It’s your nervous system doing its best to protect you.

My work is about helping you move beyond coping and into lasting transformation—so you can feel more at home in your body, more secure in your relationships, and more aligned with the life you want to live.

What I Offer

I specialize in depth-oriented, trauma-informed therapy that combines relational warmth with effective, evidence-based tools:

  • Somatic Therapy (Hakomi Certified Practitioner) – listening to the wisdom of the body to release trauma and restore balance.

  • EMDR (8+ years of experience) – reprocessing painful memories so they no longer control your present.

  • Brainspotting (Certified Levels 1–4) – accessing trauma and stress stored deep in the nervous system.

  • IFS-Informed Parts Work – befriending and healing the different parts of yourself.

  • Polyvagal-Informed Techniques – learning to regulate your nervous system and expand your resilience.

  • Attachment-Based Relational Healing – repairing old wounds and building healthier ways of connecting.

These approaches help clients move beyond “managing” symptoms into true integration, healing, and freedom.

Who I Work Best With

I may be the right fit if you are:

  • Motivated and self-reflective—Ready to invest in yourself, introspect, take accountability for, and feel what needs to be felt.

  • Ready for deeper work—wanting more than coping strategies, you’re ready to shift what’s underneath.

  • Navigating a paradigm shift—integrating a psychedelic journey, spiritual awakening, or a major life transition.

  • Highly sensitive (HSP)—longing to embrace your sensitivity as strength instead of shame.

  • Part of the Global Majority or first-generation—wanting therapy where your full identity is honored and welcomed.

My Lens & Commitment

I come from a multicultural background—my father is Iranian and Indian, my mother is German—and I was raised as a first-generation American woman of color who is also fairly white-passing. My parents sought refuge in the U.S. during the Iranian revolution, and their story shaped how I see resilience, belonging, and identity. Like many of my clients, I’ve walked my own healing path through developmental trauma and life challenges. Along the way, I’ve learned how to embrace and love the quirky, imperfect, and authentic person I am. Because I know what it feels like to be “on the couch,” I bring an empathy and grounded presence that no textbook or training alone can provide.

These lived experiences deeply inform how I practice trauma-informed therapy. I bring sensitivity to privilege, culture, and the complexities of identity—and I welcome how those dynamics might show up between us. In our work together, you don’t need to code-switch, minimize, or edit yourself. This is a space where all of who you are is honored, where your story matters, and where we can explore how identity, culture, nervous system regulation, and belonging shape your life. My goal is to provide a safe, culturally responsive, and compassionate place to heal, grow, and reconnect with yourself.

What’s Possible

Imagine what it might feel like to…

  • Have choice around how you responds to triggers.

  • Quiet the voices and parts that are connected to past trauma that impact your functioning and how you show up in many areas of your life.

  • Set and hold boundaries without guilt.

  • Release cycles of shame and self-doubt.

  • Feel at home in your body instead of at war with it.

  • Integrate transformative or spiritual experiences into daily life.

  • Build relationships from a place of security and clarity.

This is the heart of my work: helping you reconnect with the core part of yourself that trauma never touched—your worth, vitality, and inner freedom.

Next Steps

Therapy is an investment in yourself and your future. You don’t have to carry this alone anymore.

Book your consultation today and let’s explore if we’re a good fit. Together, we’ll create a path toward clarity, resilience, and a more authentic way of living.

  • "As a Black woman, I am deeply grateful for Pujita’s capacity to value and relate to so many of my challenges that in spoken and unspoken ways have structural racism woven into them. I trust her completely, which makes a tremendous difference in how deep I’m willing to go to heal what arises. Pujita has had a profoundly positive and powerful impact on so many areas of my life – my relationships with loved ones and work colleagues, working with chronic illness, integrating my spiritual practice in my life, and dealing with racism as a Black woman. Pujita has profoundly changed my life for the better.”

  • “Working with Pujita has been a game-changer for me! I can’t capture in words my gratitude for the depth and breadth of her skills, creativity, intuition, and compassion. She listens deeply and adapts quickly, always making sure she’s attuned to where I’m at. This has led to a profound sense of trust, allowing me finally to be vulnerable enough to work with unconscious wounding and heal it. What a gift of freedom!” .”

  • “I've been seeing Pujita for the last 4 years and she is an integral part of how I am able to maintain a functioning balanced life. She has helped me manage anxiety, family trauma & addiction (just to name a few) by giving me the tools and techniques to do by myself and with my husband. I have found an ally and someone who has my back for whatever life situation I'm facing - I'm forever grateful for her.”

  • “Pujita is empathetic, non-judgmental, and authentic. She employs a variety of therapeutic modalities and adjusts her approach based on feedback. She held space for my overwhelming emotions, helped me ground myself in my body, and skillfully guided me into processing trauma. I felt progress in my healing with every session.”

  • “Therapy with Pujita has been life changing for me. It's hard to find a therapist to connect and feel safe with, but I found that with Pujita. She really took care of me and listened, giving me tools to help me when I'm depressed. Before I met Pujita, when I would encounter a wave of depression it would always knock me off my feet. Pujita taught me how to be aware of my triggers, to understand my old patterns, and to deal with my feelings as they come to me in the present moment. By doing this, I now am able to see the wave of depression before it hits me and to step back and observe.”

  • "Pujita is kind, open, understanding, compassionate, knows when you may need a little push, and has an intuitive nature to sense the next steps on your path of gradual growth and change. The nurturing vibe she emanates fosters a sense of safety. I felt deeply heard and seen, and this helped the childhood years of trauma and neglect to finally be witnessed, and healed. I've also found Pujita’s use of EMDR helpful to process traumas. Pujita is truly a gift. Her service and skills have worked wonders for me. I hold her in the highest regards and can't recommend her enough.”
